From photo source:
Carole Landis was an American screen and stage actress in the 1940s, as well as a popular pin up girl with servicemen in WWII. Her life was tragic and incredibly short, marrying 4 times in her 29 years. These are photos from her 3rd wedding, to Army Air Corps captain Thomas Wallace in London in 1943.
Most British brides of the time would have married in rayon or viscose suits, however being a wealthy American actress, her Hartnell dress was created from the more luxurious silk.
Carole Landis will always be remembered for her wartime efforts, logging over 100,000 miles during the war, she spent more time visiting with servicemen than any other American actress.
killer modern take on vintage inspiration!
